Gary W. Briggs, Founder & President
Briggs founded Ascend Development in 2000, in response to an emerging imbalance of supply vs. demand, for hangar space to accommodate the growing fleet of privately owned jet aircraft.
With a desire to create a new hangar product, Briggs focused on those individuals and companies that would appreciate the value of owning private hangar space. With finishes and amenities of the highest quality, and privacy and security features commensurate with the other elements of his client’s tastes and preferences, Briggs offers PARKAVION for those that appreciate the very best.
Previously Mr. Briggs held senior management positions with major corporate aircraft support companies for 25 years. His experience includes FBO management, property management, real estate development and administration at more than 40 airports nationwide.
Scott S. Briggs, Managing Partner
Mr. Briggs is based in Austin, TX and is overseeing the marketing, development and construction of Ascend’s Austin, TX project. From 2004 to 2008 Mr. Briggs managed the Hayward, CA Phase I facilities, and led the development team for Ascend’s Hayward, CA Phase II project. In addition, he actively participates in new acquisitions and aviation related real estate developments around the nation. He holds a B.S. in Marketing and a B.S. in Business Management from Portland State University’s School of Business Administration.
Liberty Charpentier, Director of Facilities
Mrs. Charpentier is based at Ascend’s Hayward, CA headquarters, and is responsible for site accounting, and vendor and facilities management. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, Early Childhood Studies from California State University, East Bay.
